Hello! Welcome to our site! You are probably here because you've fallen in love with the face of a cute hedgehog. If you're looking for one of your own, you've come to the right place! We have wonderful baby hedgehogs for sale who make amazing pets.
I am a Dallas (DFW) Texas hedgehog breeder, striving for excellence via health, longevity, temperament, pedigrees, and conformation. Our herd initials are HHHB. Our baby hedgehogs for sale are home raised and spoiled to ensure you have a well-socialized and wonderful pet.
I have had hedgehogs since 1997. I love this animal and am passionate about promoting education and contributing to the betterment of the species. We are a small hobby breeder, and we focus on quality rather than quantity. We only breed pedigreed hedgehogs. We have a wait list because we schedule our litters, to allow mamas to have a break to rest, and you have time to plan for your new baby hedgehog!
I breed for health and temperament, first and foremost. I only want to produce the most healthy, friendly hedgehogs that I possibly can, which is why tracking lineage and pedigrees is so important. Hedgehogs bred en masse with no regard to their health, dispositions, or pedigrees, might be "cheaper" in the short term, but don't always make good pets, and this can often lead to multiple health issues/frequent vet visits and shorter lifespans, or a hedgehog that no one wants to handle and gets ignored or rehomed. I have carefully chosen each of my hedgies from fantastic, ethical breeders, and they are all spoiled rotten, my actual pets, and in my house. Hedgehog babies will be raised and spoiled around usual household noises; people, dogs, cats, tvs, vacuum cleaners, etc and handled daily once they are old enough, until they are ready to go home at the appropriate age/weight.
The hedgehogs at The Hedgehaus are all pedigreed to ensure health and NO inbreeding. We are a Supporting Breeder of The Hedgie List, which is a resource that helps breeders keep the most accurate information for their animals. We are registered with NAHHI (North American Hedgehog Herd Initials Registry) and also participate in the Transnational Hedgehog Collaboration. We will also be participating in the NAQA (North American Quills Association) Tulsa Hedgehog Fest on November 26, 2022.
